Rutgers Integrated Administrative System (RIAS) – Get Ready for Phase III
The RIAS Phase III project, which includes Human Resources, Payroll and Budgeting, is currently underway and scheduled for implementation in 2010. RIAS Phase III will provide university employees with an online system which will streamline and simplify the processing of transactions associated with university personnel. Rutgers employees will be able to view their paycheck information and leave balances, verify personal data, and change personal information and benefit selections through self service screens in the RIAS system.

RU Budget Temporary and Permanent non-salary journal templates are located in the forms repository on the RIAS website. It is important to note that a debit represents an increase to an expense fund source and natural account budget while a credit represents a decrease to an expense fund source and natural account budget.

A new RIAS training class has been created, called Discoverer--Review of Standard Reports. This class focuses on the purpose and use of specific financial reports in reconciling account balances. Participants view their own data in a report and have the opportunity to ask questions that pertain to their general ledger accounts. To view the class schedule and enroll go to the Professional Development Program website.

The Save As action in Discoverer allows you to save a report and changes other than formatting, under a different report name. This saved report will appear in your report listing in Discoverer.

If you change your NetID, don't forget to fill out a new RIAS access form. This will ensure that your RIAS notifications are routed to your new NetID account.
