The REX system was recently upgraded to provide new functionality and easier navigation. REX is now filtering deleted DGCA accounts. This will reduce the scrolling through the Account parameter selection, fund source drop-down lists, and various reports. It will also help to ensure that you do not incorrectly enter adjustments, salary commitments, salary reallocations, or TABERs against accounts that are no longer active.

University Accounting has provided some simple tips to help make it easier to view and modify your financial reports in Discoverer. Try one of the tips listed below the next time you are working with Discoverer.
Period Name can be found in reports such as Fund Source Summary by Natural Account and the Fund Source Detail. The period name is a combination of Accounting Month (i.e.Oct) and Fiscal Year (i.e.10). In this example, the period name would be entered as Oct-10.More Tips
An attachment can be added to any unposted or unapproved journal. Select the attachment icon (the paperclip)
